High Yield, Bigger Seed Size and Powdery Mildew Resistant Mungbean Lines
Mungbean, Vigna radiata (L.) Wilczek, also known as mung, moong, mungo, green gram, golden gram, chop-suey bean, is a high value pulse crop with a short growth duration that fits into many crop systems. Mungbean is consumed as dry seeds or sprouts. It supplies a substantial part of the protein requirement. It is high in protein and easy to digest. Mungbean also has potential as a green manure and a forage crop. |

The farmer field school(FFS) in Potharam, Ratchaburi,Thailand is based on vegetable production. An objective of the school is to make farmers aware of the importance and benefits of IPM in reducing chemical fertilizer and pesticide use, safe vegetable production and conservation of environment. |
